Make sure that your marketing collateral delivers appeal to entice readers to look at what you are offering. Make sure that you have useful information for the products and/or services you offer. It becomes a reference to review when prospective customers are thinking about purchases (other than for impulse buying). It also provides approved data to reference when your staff are asked for this kind of information. How you deliver marketing material impacts on operations costs.

Flyers

The idea for a flyer is to summarize select portions of your website combined with text to explain what you are about and what products and/or services you offer. Many businesses find it an effective form for communicating specials or limited time offers that can attract customers to your business. Flyers are often associated with a specific sales campaign.

While the brochures referenced in the flyer carry the regular price, the purpose of a flyer is to highlight savings, usually as a time-limited feature. Companies may post last-week’s flyer, current flyer, and next-week’s flyer as a customer service: if they know you have on-line flyers people are more likely to visit the site. This can also significantly reduce your flyer distribution costs.

You would use flyers where it is not practical to feature the website itself: an outdoor booth, for example, could have a rack were people fetch a flyer for information – the flyer in turn should direct them to your website, where they can find details of what they are looking for. Sometimes a business features selected products in a mall: with this strategy you can have everyone pickup cheap flyers – you can print a lot more if the traffic calls for more flyers. It is unlikely that everyone visiting your location is a true prospect – keeping a lid on costs and using on-line brochures is smart business: compare the cost of 500 flyers to 500 brochures and decide which option to use in your case.

Flyers can also be distributed through conventional channels and can be made available for pickup, but we don’t usually print flyers on high-gloss paper (there are exceptions to every rule): color copies should be sufficient for the purpose of telling your prospects where real quality information is accessible as online brochures.
